Kaliningrad governor Alikhanov called Lithuania’s transit ban illegal

Since June 18, Lithuanian Railways has stopped transiting from/to the Kaliningrad region from other regions of Russia a large list of goods that fall under the sanctions of the European Union (EU). These actions are illegal and do not comply with the provisions of the documents on the country’s accession to the EU, said the governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov. “These actions are illegal and may have far-reaching consequences for Lithuania and the European Union.
