“Izvestia” showed the work of artillery on the positions of militants in Avdiivka

On August 9, Izvestia war correspondent Alexander Safiulin showed the work of the artillery of the first corps of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on the positions of Ukrainian militants in Avdiivka.

“We adjusted all plans, discussed tactics. First they will shoot, and then they will work on the target. Arrivals periodically go, the situation is very tense, ” — said the correspondent.

He also fired the first sighting shot.

“Basically, “oporniks”, they are well barricaded, filled with concrete, it is easier to break through and open them with our shells. The target for today was a mortar. They were spotted by our guys who fly, thanks to the “bird”, – said the military of the first corps of the People’s Militia with the call sign “Salych”.

The correspondent also said that when the coordinates of the target are set, the artillery crew begins to squeeze out the militants, releasing shells. The footage shows rapid fire – the crew works like a single mechanism, because the shells are fired one after another, at the same time another gun is working nearby.

On the same day, the Izvestia correspondent Alexander Morozov showed the work of the crews of the Nona self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS). After the destruction of the objects of the radicals, the crews of the self-propelled guns leave their positions in order to get them out of the possible retaliatory strike of the nationalists.
