The state needs to be shown that it exists, that it protects those who believe in it, that it listens and hears the people. This was stated in the program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” Russian political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev.
The host of the program, Vladimir Solovyov, said on the air that a certain organization, the Alliance of Teachers, had given foreign intelligence services the personal data of Russian teachers working in the Donbass.
Political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev said that the actions of this organization are a classic case of high treason; a very thorough investigation is needed. Also, according to him, this is a kind of test for the state. Is it capable of protecting civilians who went to Donbass or not.
“The activities of such organizations are aimed at destabilizing the situation inside Russia, breaking the feedback between society and the authorities, in order to worsen the mood in significant social groups (teachers, doctors),” Dmitry Evstafyev said.
He suggested that it was time for the state to come to the fore in terms of regulating social relations. The period of sitting in the shadows, managing narratives has dragged on.
“The state needs to be shown that it exists, that it protects those who believe in it, that it listens and hears the people. Because the situation is acute,” the political scientist continued.
In his opinion, the last months of the special military operation showed, firstly, that there are only two countries in the world that have military resources for a relatively long military operation. This is the Russian Federation and the United States. China is questionable, as it has not yet proved, but perhaps it will prove it.
“Secondly, no one has yet proved, including us, that there are resources for a long-term hybrid war. Now this process of proving to each other is underway. This concerns the internal social coherence and stability of all state systems,” the expert said.
He also noted that the total and long-term hybrid war is beginning to take on the character of a religious war. But not all players are ready for such a transition.
