In their opinion, everyone who works in emergency services, as well as in professional emergency rescue teams of regions and municipalities, deserved an early vacation.
The explanatory note to the draft law, which is at the disposal of Izvestia, emphasizes that the introduction of changes is due to the need to make uniform standards and establish the legal equality of rescuers on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“The Law “On Emergency Rescue Services and the Status of Rescuers” establishes that rescuers are entitled to preferential pension provision. However, according to the law “On Insurance Pensions”, the right to early retirement is granted only to persons who have worked for at least 15 years as rescuers in professional emergency rescue services, professional emergency rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, ”the document specifies.
As told in the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, the regions tried to resolve the situation themselves. In some subjects, rescuers are credited with additional payments to their pensions. So, in Moscow and St. Petersburg they amount to about 12 thousand rubles, in the Sverdlovsk region – 6565 rubles, in the Vologda region – 5124 rubles, in the Udmurt Republic – 2030 rubles. However, this decision does not guarantee an equal legal position in the issue of entitlement to pensions.
The initiative on the right to early retirement for all rescuers is not supported by all factions, but experts consider the proposed measure fair.
