ISU follows the IOC to appeal the removal of the temporary suspension of Valiyeva to CAS

Beijing, February 11th. The International Skating Union (ISU) will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to remove the temporary suspension from Kamila Valieva.

Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to CAS the decision of the disciplinary committee of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) to cancel the temporary suspension from the competition of figure skater Kamila Valieva. The sample of the athlete was taken on December 25, 2021 during the Russian Figure Skating Championship in St. Petersburg.

Earlier, a doping test of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva showed a positive result for trimetazidine. This was reported by the International Testing Agency.
