Israel is trying to establish ties with the Russian Federation, fearing the strengthening of Iran against the backdrop of the Ukrainian crisis

Unlike Lapid, whose position on Ukraine was based on personal opinion and emotions, Netanyahu is able to build his policy in such a way as to please all the important players, while being able to protect his interests in the region. Experts believe that the new government of Israel will move closer to Russia: despite the disapproval of the special operation by the population of the Jewish state, intelligence agencies and politicians still consider this option more preferable. At the same time, Tel Aviv will be able to maintain strategic ties with the United States, which, by the way, has already expressed dissatisfaction with the conversation between Cohen and Lavrov.
