The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that thanks to such actions of a high school student, it was possible to quickly begin the evacuation of students from the school.

After that, Alexander, Irina Volk said, began to help the director and teachers bring the children out. “He was noticed by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, who convinced the guy to seek medical help,” the Russian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Alexander Sterkhov was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “For Contribution to the Strengthening of Law and Order” for courage and determination shown in an extreme situation.

Recall that on September 26, a 34-year-old former student came to a school in Izhevsk. He had two traumatic pistols with him, converted to fire live ammunition. 17 people died – 6 adults and 11 children. An investigation is underway.
