The developers of the first level network Injective in the Cosmos ecosystem launched a testnet of the L2 solution inEVM in partnership with the Caldera project, specializing in custom rollups.

The new solution is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This will allow decentralized applications based on the network of the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization to work in the Injective ecosystem.
Unlike other similar EVM solutions like Aurora based on Near or Neon based on Solana, inEVM is an Injective rollup tied to the main network.
The initiative is part of the Electro Chains strategy aimed at expanding the ecosystem of second-layer solutions and improving interoperability with various blockchains.
The launch of the inEVM mainnet is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
As a reminder, in June, Injective developers integrated Polygon to provide “true DeFi composability.”
In April, the project team launched the Cascade interoperability solution, allowing Solana developers to run their applications in the Cosmos ecosystem.
