In the Czech Republic, supermarket workers opened boxes of bananas and found they contained packages of drugs, reports The Guardian.
The incident took place in the cities of Jicin and Rihnov nad Knezhnou. According to preliminary information, the sellers immediately reported their find to the police. Law enforcement officers arrived at the indicated addresses and seized 840 kilograms of drugs worth $80 million.
After checking, it turned out that the bundles contained cocaine. Law enforcement officers suggest that the banned product from Central America came to supermarkets by mistake. The matter is under investigation.
