In Russia there will be a center for evaluating the work of driving schools

The Ministry of Education proposed to create in Russia a federal center for assessing the quality of driver training. Based on the results of monitoring, penalties may be applied to driving schools, up to the deprivation of a license and accreditation, said Denis Gribov, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education.

Speaking at a solemn meeting in honor of the Day of the creation of the traffic police, he noted that the ministry and the traffic police strive to provide high-quality training for candidates for drivers, therefore, in 2021, 49 driver training programs were revised and 9 new ones were developed. And a new center for evaluating the quality of driving schools would contribute to the dissemination of the best practices in driver training, Gribov emphasized.

In addition, he recalled that through joint efforts, it was possible to create a continuous system of teaching children about safe behavior on the roads in the country. 7 million preschoolers, more than 17 million schoolchildren and almost 3 million students of colleges and technical schools are involved in the process of studying traffic rules.

Meanwhile, earlier the chairman of the board of the Union of Driving Schools, Alexander Achkasov, suggested that due to the rise in car prices by 2025, there would be nothing to teach future drivers in Russia.
