A number of regional offices of Ingosstrakh sold insurance policies for travelers and accident coverage for digital rubles. This is reported by Izvestia.

The operations were carried out as part of testing a new asset.

Clients chose the required product, received a generated QR code and made a payment through the Ingosstrakh Bank application. According to experts, the transaction went through instantly.

Among other operations, the company has already tested the opening, closing and blocking of a digital account, replenishment and withdrawal of funds, transfers between individuals and transactions with a deferred execution date. We also tested the return of goods with the transfer of a new form of national currency to the buyer.

In the future, VSK insurance company plans to sell coverage for digital rubles.

Earlier, ForkLog reported that the digital ruble was tested by VTB, QIWI Bank and Alfa-Bank.

Recall that the law on the Russian CBDC came into force on August 1.

Citizens of the Russian Federation will have the opportunity to massively use it in 2025-2027.
