In Crimea, there are no mass cancellations of booking amid the consequences of heavy rains

The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea reported that there are no massive booking cancellations in the region. Several hotels were flooded in heavy rains, but only one of them had to be resettled. There were also cases of power and water cut-offs, but this did not lead to serious consequences, the department claims.

“At the moment there are no mass refusals from bookings in the Yalta urban district and other regions of the Republic of Crimea. Hotels and sanatoriums are operating normally. At the moment, nothing threatens further rest in Crimea, ”the ministry said in a statement (quoted by RIA Novosti). The department notes that “there are objective difficulties”, but the authorities plan to make the territories “comfortable for recreation” in a short time.

“There was a need to resettle the guests in one hotel in Yalta – everything was done quickly in a regular mode with the support of employees of the Crimean Ministry of Resorts,” the ministry said in a statement. It is noted that all accommodation facilities must have water supplies for two to three days. “Therefore, we do not have any acute situations now,” the department believes.

The Yalta authorities are asking residents and tourists to restrict movement in the central and historical parts of the city. Entry to Yalta and transit travel are not limited.

We will remind, because of the downpours, the authorities of Yalta declared a state of emergency. One person died, 19 were injured. The Crimean authorities have promised residents affected by the flood a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles. and compensation for lost property from 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles.
