The leadership of the Lviv branch of the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” was suspected of creating an underground mining farm. This is stated on the website of the State Bureau of Investigation of the country (SBI).

According to the report, the data center was located in the office premises of the Rava-Russian Forestry branch. Due to the overload of utility networks, there were large-scale interruptions in the power supply of residential facilities and critical infrastructure, the SBI noted.

According to preliminary data, the damage exceeded 1.5 million hryvnia. The defendants – the former director, his deputy (acting head), chief accountant and others – earned at least 4 million hryvnia.

Law enforcement officers seized equipment and computer equipment worth more than 3 million hryvnia. A criminal case has been initiated.

Recall that in May, the police of Ukraine, together with the FBI, blocked nine cryptocurrency exchangers that were used to launder criminal funds.
