IAEA: Explosion near Zaporizhzhya NPP led to power line disconnection of the power unit

“On October 30, a mine explosion outside the perimeter of the Zaporizhzhya NPP cut off the main power line of the fourth power unit,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the agency.

It is clarified that now the power unit receives electricity from the backup line.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had fired on the city of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the ZNPP three times over the past three days. In total, at least ten shells were fired. The enemy units were suppressed by the return fire of the Russian armed forces, the radiation situation at the ZNPP is normal, the department added.
