Hungarian Prime Minister Orban said that there will be no peace in Ukraine without negotiations between the Russian Federation and the United States

Peace talks between Moscow and Washington are necessary to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, without which peace cannot be achieved. This was announced on Thursday, August 4, by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas (Texas).

He clarified that instead of focusing on the organization of US-Russian negotiations, world leaders are resorting to a strategy that “aggravates and prolongs” the conflict situation.

The prime minister noted the importance of America being ruled by a strong leader, because only such politicians can “achieve peace.”

In addition, Orban expressed the opinion that the actions of the West, in particular regarding the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions, led to a crisis, which, in turn, threatened the future of Western countries.

Earlier, on August 3, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder announced Russia’s commitment to resolving the situation around Ukraine through negotiations. He expressed the hope that the negotiation process between Moscow and Kyiv in the near future will be expanded to a “ceasefire agreement.”

Meanwhile, on June 29, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Representative of Russia to the United Nations, said that the weapons that Western countries are supplying Ukraine with are the military purpose of the Russian special operation to protect Donbass, and its constant supplies to Kyiv only prolong the conflict, depriving it of the possibility of a diplomatic resolution for negotiating table. According to him, the Kyiv regime deliberately stores weapons in the center of cities, next to residential areas, endangering the population.

Russia continues the special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. A few days earlier, the situation in the region escalated significantly due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also turned to Moscow for help. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
