The energy ministers of the EU countries at a meeting in Brussels failed to agree on the adoption of a “ceiling” of gas prices. The introduction of such a limit would mean interference in the operation of the gas market. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said this was unacceptable.
The official said that Hungary would defend the idea of abandoning the “ceiling” on gas and oil prices from Russia. Such decisions can only provoke a larger deficit, he believes.
