Hundreds of residents of Nova Kakhovka lost their homes after the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, more than 300 residents of Nova Kakhovka have asked for help in restoring housing that was damaged as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which occurred on Monday, July 11. This was announced by the head of the interim administration of the municipality Vladimir Leontiev.

As Leontiev clarified on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, some private residential buildings have been completely destroyed, and the degree of damage to multi-storey buildings has yet to be assessed. They may have to be demolished and new housing built.

The head of the city also noted that missile strikes from the Armed Forces of Ukraine have become more frequent and are carried out at regular intervals, mainly at night. According to him, as a result of the last shelling, which took place the night before, on July 13, there were no serious injuries. It turned out that only windows and doors in the instrument-making technical school were broken.

Recall that on the evening of April 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Nova Kakhovka with American MLRS HIMARS on the territory near the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. The station was not damaged, but some civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, a hospital and food warehouses, received serious damage. At least seven people were killed and about 90 were injured.

It was reported that Russia may convene the UN Security Council because of the shelling of a city in the Kherson region.
