Historian from the Moscow region won the competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia”

Dmitry Lutovinov, a teacher of history from the Moscow region, became the winner of the “Teacher of the Year of Russia” competition. This was announced on October 5 by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova at a ceremony in the Pashkov House.

“The winner of the All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year” in 2022 is Dmitry Lutovinov”,Golikova announced.

Lutovinov works at school No. 16 in the city district of Orekhovo-Zuyevo.

The award ceremony for the winners of the “Teacher of the Year of Russia” competition will be held today at the State Kremlin Palace.

It is expected that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with the winners and finalists of the competition via video link.

Earlier Wednesday, historian Natalia Zinovich told Izvestia that Teacher’s Day is celebrated not only in Russia, but throughout the world.

At the initiative of UNESCO, October 5 was declared World Teachers’ Day. It was on this day in 1966 that a conference on the status of teachers was held in Paris, where the first international document was signed that determined the legal status of educators.

At the same time, it was reported that VK launched a promotion dedicated to Teacher’s Day. Pupils and graduates congratulated the teachers on the holiday and remembered the best moments associated with the school. Thus, from October 5 to October 12, VK ​​Clips hosts the Let’s Start the Lesson project, in which blogger teachers publish interesting educational clips for children on the topic of school subjects.

In turn, the President of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), Olga Vasilyeva, in an interview with Izvestia, spoke about the modern teacher, teacher education, the Bologna system and other topics. Vasilyeva also shared that this year the number of applications for pedagogical directions and specialty has increased by 1.5 times. In the opinion of the President of the Russian Academy of Education, in Russia in recent years there has been a difficult situation with a shortage of highly qualified specialists – candidates and doctors of sciences – in the field of teaching methodology for the most important subjects for the state.
