Google will change the rules for advertising blockchain games using NFT

Starting September 15, 2023, the Internet giant Google will allow advertisers to promote products and services for NFT games through their services, if they are not related to gambling.

The company will allow advertising blockchain gaming applications, in which users are given the opportunity to buy in-game items in the form of non-fungible tokens.

Games that allow you to bet on/on NFTs to win something with real value, receive cryptocurrency and other rewards will remain banned from promotion.

Google also does not allow gambling ads such as online casinos or any imitation of them using non-fungible tokens.

“We expect all advertisers to comply with local laws in whatever area their ads target. This policy will apply globally to all accounts promoting such products,” the company said.

Accounts of violators will be blocked within seven days after the warning is issued.

Recall that in July, Google announced the decision to add the ability to host games with NFT in the app store for Android devices.
