Gazprom plans to complete the construction of the first combined cycle plant in Serbia in 2021. Cooperation in the gas sector was previously discussed by Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Serbian People’s Assembly Chairman Ivica Dacic at a meeting at the SPIEF.
“This year, in the town of Pancevo, Gazprom plans to complete the construction of the first combined cycle power plant in Serbia,” the company’s website says.
During the meeting, Alexey Miller and Ivica Dacic also discussed cooperation in the field of underground gas storage. In the first five months, the volume of gas purchased by the republic increased by 125.9% compared to the same period last year.
Gazprom began supplying gas to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina via a new route from January 1. Gas from Russia is transported via the Turkish Stream offshore gas pipeline.
