In the near future, cargo traffic along the North-South transport corridor will grow. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the development of transport corridors is necessary to establish logistics and cooperation ties between companies of the countries.
This, Vladimir Putin continued, will provide stable channels of communication with the Middle East and South Asia. For this purpose, Russia is increasing the capacity of railways, as well as the transshipment capacity of ports in the eastern, southern and other directions.
Moscow, the head of the Russian state assured, in addition to the development of international trade intends to increase other types of cooperation – scientific, technological, cultural, humanitarian, sports on the principles of equality and respect for partners. At the same time, Russia will strive for responsible leadership in all these areas, Putin promised.
At the anniversary XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Lotos” in the Narimanov district of the Astrakhan region and the Indian Business Alliance signed an agreement on the development of port services and cargo transportation through the international transport corridor (ITC) North-South.
