In fact, Moldova is formed as a kind of second Romanian state. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Izvestiya by the head of the Foreign Ministry of Transnistria, Vitaly Ignatiev.

“In our opinion, Moldova was generally created as a kind of second Romanian state. This comes from the doctrinal documents that form the basis of Moldova – this is the Declaration of Independence, a parliamentary decree adopted in 1990, which, in fact, indicate that the country is trying to form an absolutely Romanian identity,” the diplomat said.

According to him, over the past three decades since independence, more than 1 million Moldovans have received Romanian passports, including many people in the country’s leadership and elite.

In addition, Ignatiev noted that since 2018, the country has officially stopped using the Moldovan language, switching to Romanian. Also, an agreement on the state border has not been concluded between Moldova and Romania, “which indicates that there is a special regime of unity between these countries,” the head of the Foreign Ministry cited another example.

“All this suggests that, in fact, Moldova has already been formed as a kind of second Romanian state. The identity of the Moldovan people, unfortunately, is also Romanian. and development [к вероятному объединению Румынии с Молдавией] cannot be simply probable, it already exists, ”summed up Ignatiev.

For these 30 years, Moldova, in my opinion, is the second Romania, the diplomat concluded.
