Earlier, on August 5, the Hydrometeorological Center extended the “yellow” level of weather danger in Moscow and the Moscow region until Sunday, August 7, due to the threat of fires.
On the same day, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, told Izvestia that on August 6, very hot weather is expected in Moscow and the region, with temperatures up to +34 degrees. According to him, Friday and Saturday are very likely to be among the hottest days for the entire current period. Thus, the air temperature will reach +33 degrees, and in the Moscow region it is possible to reach +34 degrees. At the same time, on Sunday, the thermometers will drop, heavy rains and thunderstorms are possible.
Earlier, on August 3, the press service of the Moscow Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned that a heat of up to +33 degrees is expected in Moscow until August 6. The agency recommends wearing light-colored clothing and a hat in the heat. It is also advisable to drink more water.
