Forecasters predicted rain and thunderstorms in Moscow on July 10

Cloudy with clearings and intermittent rain, sometimes heavy, are expected in Moscow on Sunday, July 10. The weather is reported on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia.

Thunderstorms and hail are expected in some areas of the capital. At the same time, the air temperature will remain at high levels.

During the day in Moscow the air is expected to reach +27…+29 degrees, at night the thermometers will drop to +17…+19 degrees.

A southeasterly wind is forecast at a speed of 5–10 m/s during the day with gusts up to 17 m/s during thunderstorms. At night, an east wind will blow in Moscow at a speed of 5–10 m/s.

Atmospheric pressure will be 744 mmHg.

In the capital, on the night of June 10, heavy rain began with a thunderstorm and wind. The day before, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation recommended that drivers slow down and increase the distance from the vehicles in front, avoid sudden maneuvers, and park cars away from trees. Pedestrians were advised to avoid billboards and rickety structures, and avoid taking cover under trees.

Earlier, on July 8, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, promised showers and thunderstorms in Moscow over the coming weekend. He noted that the weather in the capital will be affected by a “creeping frontal wave system of atmospheric fronts”, which will lead to showers with thunderstorms.

On the same day, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist of the Meteonovosti news agency, also warned about possible showers with thunderstorms over the weekend in the capital.
