Five people were injured during the shelling of a hospital in Donetsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During the shelling of the City Central Hospital No. 17 in the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, five people were injured, including one child. This was announced on Friday, August 5, by the mayor of the city Alesey Kulemzin.

“Girl born in 2019 received a shrapnel wound to both thighs, was taken to the children’s republican hospital, ”Kulemzin wrote in his Telegram channel.

Shrapnel wounds were also received by women born in 1985, 1955 and 1969. One of the victims was given first aid on the spot, the other two were hospitalized in hospital No. 17. Another victim is a man in 1980. With a shrapnel wound to the chest, he was taken to the same hospital.

Shelling of the hospital by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) occurred earlier in the day.

At the disposal of “Izvestia” were shots of the consequences of the attack. The video shows hospital staff treating the wounded. In a number of rooms, glass flew out, several rooms and a bathroom were destroyed. The impact of the projectile led to a partial collapse of the roof of the building. Cars parked nearby were also damaged.

The Kuibyshevsky district of the city on August 5 has already been repeatedly attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) stated that the shelling was carried out from 155 mm NATO artillery. Blows were also inflicted on the villages of Yelenovka and Metalist.

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to protect Donbass. Its key goals are the denazification and demilitarization of the Kyiv regime. Moscow stressed that with the help of a special operation, Russia is stopping the war that Kyiv has been waging for eight years against the civilian population of the republics. At the same time, it was noted that strikes were carried out only on military infrastructure.
