Fastly fixes a glitch in Western media and internet services

The disruption in the work of Western media and Internet services has been eliminated, according to the report of the American cloud computing provider Fastly.

The cause of the failure was discovered and fixed at 10:57 UTC (13:57 Moscow time). However, what exactly contributed to the failure is not reported. The problems were observed for about an hour.

On June 8, the sites of the Financial Times, The New York Times, Bloomberg News, CNN, WSJ and other major world media outlets crashed. There were also problems with access to sites Amazon, Spotify, Twitch, Reddit, Stackoverflow, GitHub, PayPal and other services. As previously stated by the product manager of the Financial Times, Matt Taylor, the reason for this was an accident on the side of the Fastly CDN provider.
