Farmers plan to harvest from 50 million tons of grain this year

Ukrainian agrarians this year, despite all the circumstances of the sowing season and wartime, plan to harvest from 50 million tons of grain.

This is reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine referring to First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky, Ukrinform reports.

“Given all the circumstances of the sowing season, logistics and wartime, we expect a good harvest – not a record, but above the average for the past five years – from 50 million tons of grain. As for wheat, food grain will prevail,” Vysotsky said.

In addition, according to him, we can talk about the encouraging dynamics of exports. Thus, in June, the export of agricultural products exceeded 2.1 million tons – against 350 thousand tons in March and about 1 million tons in April.
