Alexander Valentik was born on June 4, 1936 in Petrozavodsk. He graduated with honors from school and the Faculty of History and Philology at PSU. Throughout his career, the journalist has worked as editor-in-chief of the newspaper Komsomolets and Leninskaya Pravda, head of the press, television and radio sector of the Karelian regional committee of the CPSU, as well as a radio host in the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Karelia.
