According to Stanislav Loginov, Director of the Informatization Department of the Administration of the Tyumen Region, the bill on biometrics was adopted back in 2022. An operator capable of putting this technology into practice was also appointed, according to the MegaTyumen online publication.
However, in order to allow the use of the biometrics system in educational institutions, it is necessary to obtain the consent of all parents. If at least one of the parents writes a refusal, the project will not be able to start. As Stanislav Loginov explained, biometrics is currently used only in the power segment.
