Ex-Foreign Minister of Austria pointed to the ignorance of Europe

The role of Europe in the world political arena is getting smaller and smaller. This was stated in an interview with Asia Times by former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, adding that this part of the world “does not exist anymore.”

Speaking about the current situation in Europe, Kneisl expressed the opinion that the crisis occurred due to “deeply rooted Eurocentrism”, which is expressed in ignorance and arrogance towards other countries, including Russia, as well as neglect of the existing geopolitical alignment.

According to her, “Europe needs Russia more than Russia needs Europe,” so European politicians should not treat Moscow as an enemy, persuading her to work closely with Beijing.

Recall that in early July, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria was forced to leave the country due to death threats.
