Most of the accessories, special makeup and clothing were purchased by residents of Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg.
From June 1 to June 10, the demand for makeup, ratchets, vuvuzelas and crackers increased six times in pieces compared to the same period last year. The popularity of scarves with the Russian flag increased 35 times, kokoshniks, stripes and chevrons for clothes – three times, badges – almost doubled. At the beginning of June, Russians bought twice as many fan passport covers as in the previous year.
The sales of football tracksuits have also grown fourfold, and socks with football symbols have doubled. In addition, Wildberries also noted an increase in sales of popcorn (+ 44%), sunflower seeds (+ 46%) and chips (+ 23%), suggesting that the snacks were ordered by fans who watch matches at home.
