Delegation from Russia to visit Turkey to discuss tourism

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a Russian delegation will arrive in Antalya to discuss tourism-related issues. He did not name the date of the delegation’s arrival.

“Issues related to tourism will be discussed. I believe that after that we will be able to quickly launch an attack on a tourist destination, ”said Mr Erdogan during his speech in Istanbul (quoted by TASS). He also said that about 32 million people have already been vaccinated against coronavirus in the country.

Since April 15, Russia has suspended flights with Turkey due to the coronavirus outbreak there. This week, tour operators asked the authorities to open Russia’s borders with countries with high tourist demand, including Turkey.
