The SPIEF Organizing Committee will strengthen protection measures in connection with DDoS attacks from addresses from the USA and Ukraine. Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, spoke about this.
The flurry of DDoS attacks failed to materially damage the work of the forum on Friday, June 17, the official said. There were temporary interruptions in the work of the accreditation system, there were interruptions in equipping the SPIEF Press Center with access to the Network.
“We were bombed like Stalingrad by the Nazis with these DDoS attacks. But we coped with it and now we know how they work. The attacks were carried out with a power of 140 gigabits per second. We received 15 million packets per second. We attacked from addresses from the USA, Ukraine , Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia, Thailand and other countries. We will increase security at all future events this year and next. We will take all necessary measures,” Kobyakov said.
