Composer and People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Morozov announced his intention to re-record his popular songs within six months using Cypriot folk instruments. He spoke about this in an interview with TASS.

The musician noted the reverent attitude of local residents to folk music. According to him, in the institutions of Cyprus you can often meet young people dancing to the national music. This is what prompted the composer to such an idea.

In addition, the artist said that special attention in the album will be given to the bouzouki string instrument.

“I want these songs to sound with Greek flavor. Greek and Russian melodics are often intertwined. Without exaggeration, immersion in the Cypriot musical environment enriches my work,” Morozov emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Malikov presented his disc Pianomania at the 23rd International Jazz Triumph Festival.
