The authorities of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the First Electronic Prescription company signed an agreement on the use of an electronic prescription in the region at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the press service of the region’s governor reported. The project is planned to be implemented with the support of Sberbank.
The First Electronic Prescription service was created as part of the Healthcare national project. By the end of 2023, electronic prescriptions should be introduced in all regions of the Russian Federation.
The doctor, working in the medical information system, will be able to write out electronic prescriptions and enter them into the medical record. The patient does not need to print them on paper to buy medicines.
– The Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is working on major healthcare projects, including with investors. Digitalization should make getting medical services more convenient for patients. There is no risk of losing a paper prescription, which is very important if it is issued in a district hospital, and the patient receives medicines in the region. The system will help to better control the need for drugs on the ground, especially in small towns, – said the head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug Roman Kopin.
According to Kirill Khromov, Managing Director of First Electronic Recipe LLC, more than 30 regions have already connected to the digital service. It will improve the availability of medicines and improve the quality of services provided to the population, and the district administration will receive transparent statistics on the circulation of medicines.
