Bitcoin falls below $19,000 for the first time since November 2020

The price of bitcoin fell below $19,000 for the first time since November 2020, according to Coindesk data.

During the auction, the coin lost 10.66% and dropped to 18.875 thousand dollars. A little later, the cryptocurrency won back part of the losses and rose slightly above $19,000.

Back in February, bitcoin was worth 43.2 thousand dollars, and over the entire spring, the coin lost 27% of its value.

Last year, former SpaceX employee Sahil Kapita, who also worked for Tesla, called Elon Musk the creator of bitcoin. According to the developer, Musk has all the necessary knowledge and resources to create the most popular cryptocurrency in the world.
