Belousov: the government does not set the task of taking money away from metallurgists

The government does not set itself the task of “taking away” additional revenues from metallurgists, the task of the cabinet of ministers is to meet the parameters of projects that have risen in price due to prices for metal products, said First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov. On Monday, May 31, he said that Russian metallurgists in 2020 “pushed the state, budget, in terms of state investments and state defense orders by about 100 billion rubles.” Then the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov held a meeting with metallurgists.

“There is no task to take money away from metallurgists, there is a task to write down state programs and programs around the state. Because besides state investments, there is a program for housing construction, there is a program of Russian Railways, because they are like communicating vessels, “Mr. Belousov explained to journalists on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (quote from Prime). So, for example, according to the First Deputy Prime Minister, due to the increase in prices for metal products, the construction of the Eastern landfill of Russian Railways has risen in price by 40 billion rubles.

On June 1, at a meeting of the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov with metallurgists, “additional tax exemptions” were not discussed. The Minister discussed with metallurgists, in particular, the possibility of introducing the practice of purchasing metal products in Rosrezerv.
