Lukashenko announced an unprecedented harvest in Belarus

At the same time, the ban does not apply to grain exported to provide humanitarian assistance or as supplies, and to the following through the territory of Belarus in transit.
The resolution also instructs the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to submit a proposal to the Eurasian Economic Commission to introduce a similar measure on the customs territory of the EAEU.
In August last year, Minsk banned the export of the main types of grain, and in March it extended it for six months. The government explained this decision by the need to meet the needs of the domestic market, since last year’s harvest was less than planned.
This year, as President Alexander Lukashenko said the day before, Belarus will receive an unprecedented harvest – about 11.2 million tons. The main thing now, according to him, is to store the grown products in warehouses as much as possible so that the needs of trade and export in the off-season can be met.
