The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) delivered another blows to the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk from the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). This was announced on Monday, August 1, by the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC).

“10 missiles were fired from the BM-21 Grad,” the text says.

Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian security forces also fired on the city with barreled artillery.

On the eve of the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the DPR reported that all the miners of the mine, de-energized due to the shelling of Donetsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were raised to the surface after 72 miners found themselves without electricity underground at a coal mining enterprise.

On July 31, it also became known that a man born in 1980 in Donetsk was blown up by an anti-personnel mine “Petal”. The incident took place on Nizhny Tagilskaya street near the house 113.

On June 30, the headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR reported that a civilian was killed as a result of the shelling of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. On the same day, the representative office of the republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire stated that Ukrainian troops fired ten shells of 152 mm caliber into the city.

The special operation to defend Donbass, which Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. In connection with the deterioration of the situation, the authorities of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics turned to Russia for help.
