ARK Invest allocates $15 million for Block shares


Three exchange-traded funds managed by ARK Invest have purchased additional securities of Jack Dorsey’s Block company for a total amount of more than $15 million, according to a company report.

Structures of Kathy Wood’s firm added 227,365 shares in total.

After the purchase, the company’s securities balances from the company’s funds amounted to:

  • flagship fund ETF ARK Innovation — $483 million;
  • ETF ARK Next Generation – $96 million;
  • TF ARK Fintech Innovation – $83 million

According to, Block shares are trading at $66.24 at time of writing, up 0.39% on the day.

In March, funds managed by ARK Invest purchased Coinbase and Block securities for a total of $12.6 million.

Kathy Wood’s firm resumed buying Coinbase shares in October 2022 after a pause of four months. She consistently increased her positions in securities and only in March 2023 got rid of the package for $13.5 million.

At the end of April, the funds bought $8.6 million worth of trading platform securities. The transaction occurred on the same day that Coinbase filed a legal complaint against the SEC.

Recall that in May, structures controlled by ARK Invest invested $8.3 million and $7.5 million in the crypto exchange.
