According to Similarweb Senior Analyst David F. Carr, fluctuations may be related to summer holidays:

“Students needing help with their homework seem to be part of the story: the website’s percentage of young users dropped over the summer and is now starting to bounce back.”

So, in the age group from 18 to 24, traffic fell by 10% in May, by 15% in June, and by 4% in July. At the peak of popularity in April, such users accounted for 30% of the total audience share in the US.

Recall that in July, the developers released a new plugin for the paid version of the chatbot, which can analyze data, create Python code, build graphs and solve mathematical problems. The neural network was able to scientifically disprove the theory of “flat earth”.

Later, OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT app for Android and announced the launch of a faster, more secure and powerful version of the chatbot for corporate clients.
