A pensioner from Mariupol lost his dog during the evacuation. Volunteers from the Rostov region helped return the animal to its owner.
During the evacuation, a 90-year-old resident of Mariupol lost his pet. The owner and his wife went to visit relatives in St. Petersburg.
Even at the border with the Rostov region, he showed volunteers a photograph of a dog. The man left his phone in case the dog could be found, reports kp.ru.
When the volunteers arrived in Mariupol, they found the animal. By calling the number, the activists contacted the pensioner, and later handed over the dog to the man’s wife in the Neklinovsky district.
The people’s militia of the DPR saves animals in cities liberated from Ukrainian nationalists. Charitable organizations bring food and medicine to aid centers.
