Ambassador to Kabul announced the intention of Russia and Afghanistan to hold a business forum before the end of the year

MOSCOW, 15 Aug – The Russian-Afghan business forum is planned to be organized by the end of 2022 in Afghanistan, Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov said in an interview.

He recalled that in June “the first persons of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce” came to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“Among the agreements is to organize a bilateral business forum in Afghanistan by the end of the year,” the diplomat said.

Earlier, he said that a delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan from Monday will hold a series of negotiations in Moscow, including on the purchase of grain and oil. In turn, the head of the Afghan department, Nureddin Asia, upon arrival in Russia, said that Kabul plans to buy about a million barrels of oil from Moscow, and the possibility of a barter deal is being discussed.
