About 200 km of roads and five bridges will be restored in Mariupol before the end of the year

In Mariupol, it is planned to restore five damaged bridges and about 200 km of the roadway, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on August 5 at a meeting of the headquarters for the restoration of Mariupol.

“Today we discussed issues of road construction. We plan to build and reconstruct about 200 km of roads by the end of the year, as well as five bridges. We discussed with each contractor what needs to be done to increase the pace of construction, ”the words of the Deputy Prime Minister are quoted on the website of the Russian government.

In addition, Khusnullin said that electricity and water supply in Mariupol would be restored by mid-September.

Earlier that day, the Russian Ministry of Construction told Izvestia that Mariupol would be completely restored within three years, and the master plan for the development of the city provided for the expansion of its borders.

The day before, Khusnullin said, following the results of his trip to the LPR, that following the example of Mariupol, a master plan for the development of Popasna, Lisichansk, Rubizhnoye and Severodonetsk will be developed.

Mariupol is the largest city on the coast of the Sea of ​​Azov, one of the key centers of metallurgy in Donbass and a major seaport.
