A six-year-old girl died after being wounded during the shelling of Makiivka by the Ukrainian military on June 21. This was announced on Friday, June 24, by the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC).
“Unfortunately, a six-year-old girl who was seriously injured during the shelling of Makiivka on June 21 died,” the mission’s Telegram channel says.
In addition, it is noted that two more civilians were killed over the past day. in the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk and Gorlovka.
On June 21, as a result of the shelling of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU) in Makiivka, three children were injured. Among them are a boy and a girl born in 2009 and another girl born in 2016. Then it was noted that a six-year-old girl was seriously injured and is in intensive care.
On June 20, the DPR representative office in the JCCC reported that 188 civilians were killed and 886 were injured in the republic in 124 days of escalation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the JCCC, nine children died and 66 were injured.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the backdrop of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
