On Sunday, July 31, 2022, a resident of the Rtishchevsky district came to the inter-district investigation department and confessed to the murder of a 28-year-old local resident. The man was detained and a case was opened against him under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”).
According to the investigation, the crime took place on November 2, 2012 in a forest belt near the village of Skachikha. The suspect, who at that time was 20 years old, “inflicted bodily harm on his 28-year-old acquaintance,” after which he buried the body, writes Vzglyad-info news agency.
Now investigative actions are being carried out, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure against the suspect is also being decided. The investigation is ongoing.
On July 24, an Izvestia source said that the body of a murdered girl was found in a public toilet at the Nakhabino railway station near Moscow. The dead 33-year-old native of the Irkutsk region was found on the eve of the morning of July 23. According to preliminary data, she was strangled.
