A resident of Severodonetsk spoke about the help of a Russian soldier

A resident of Severodonetsk told an Izvestia correspondent how she and her husband hid in the basement during the shelling of the city.

“I was born in this city. My father built a factory, my mother built houses. My children were born here, I was born here,” the woman said.

According to her, she and her husband had to live on dry rations, since it was impossible to go outside.

The woman thanked the Russian tanker from Perm, who brought them water and stew.

“Thanks to this soldier, we were saved,” summed up a local resident.

Earlier, on August 1, local residents told Izvestia correspondent Murad Magomedov that commissions began working in Severodonetsk to determine the scope of work to restore the city’s infrastructure. As noted by a local resident Roman, in Severodonetsk they have already managed to establish communication and disassemble the broken cars.

On July 28, it was reported that the sappers cleared Severodonetsk by more than 50%. According to the head of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik, first of all, objects that ensure the life of the city were cleared.

Prior to that, on July 23, a local resident Irina Zaporozhets told the Izvestia TV channel correspondent Alexei Poltoranin how the Ukrainian military in Severodonetsk burned the houses of civilians. Due to constant attacks, the ceilings between the floors collapsed, the buildings became like ruins. Other residents said that the military of the Ukrainian Armed Forces placed equipment near residential buildings and placed firing points in the homes of the local population.

Meanwhile, a resident of Severodonetsk on July 6 reported that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when leaving the Azot plant, tried to set fire to it. The woman clarified that the attempt of the Ukrainian military was unsuccessful. In addition, she said that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to leave the city in the cars of local residents and, threatening, demanded to show where the cars were.

Russia continues the special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are the denazification and demilitarization of the Kyiv regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people. Moscow also emphasized that strikes were carried out only on military infrastructure.
