A resident of Energodar died during shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

One person died as a result of an attack on Energodar in the Zaporozhye region by Ukrainian militants the day before.

“As a result of yesterday’s shelling by the Armed Forces of the residential areas of Energodar, a man received incompatible injuries. The body was discovered by employees of the utility company, who were conducting a survey of places of possible damage to civilian infrastructure near the sanatorium-dispensary of the Zaporozhye NPP, ”the city administration said in a message on the Energodarsky Svyazny Telegram channel.

Currently, law enforcement officers establish the identity of the deceased.

On Saturday, Ukrainian fighters carried out three artillery fire raids on the residential areas of Energodar. The city administration reported that the sanatorium-dispensary of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the water intake that provides water to the residents of the city fell into the shelling zone.

On Sunday night, Ukrainian militants fired at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant located in Energodar from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) Uragan. It is known that when approaching the power units, the rocket managed to open up and release fragmentation submunitions. The area of ​​the dry storage of spent nuclear fuel and the post of automated control of the radiation situation were in the affected area.

Administrative buildings and the adjacent storage area were damaged. The distance from the place of fall of fragmentation submunitions and the rocket engine itself to the operating power unit is no more than 400 m.
