A cubic meter of gloating // Yuri Barsukov on issues that have hung after SPIEF

I must admit that the discourse of energy discussions at the last SPIEF left me at a loss. The speeches of the key people of the Russian fuel and energy complex – the leaders of Gazprom Alexei Miller and Rosneft Igor Sechin – concentrated mainly around how grossly the collective West violated agreements with Russia and its own rules (which is hard to argue with), as well as how hard it is now for the whole the world and especially Europe are paying for their previous miscalculations and mistakes in energy policy. What I practically did not hear from public speeches at SPIEF was how Russia will protect its interests in the long term against the backdrop of Europe’s refusal of our energy sources. .
