The United Russia party wins the elections to the State Duma in Ingushetia with a score of 85.18%. This was reported on September 20 by the press service of the republic’s election commission.
As TASS was told in the election commission, the party is in the lead after processing 100% of the protocols of precinct election commissions.
Earlier on Monday, it became known that United Russia is leading the elections in the Irkutsk region with 35.9% of the vote after processing 97.8% of the protocols. In the second place according to the results of elections in the Irkutsk region is the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with 28.3%, in third place is the party “New People” with 9.93%.
United Russia also leads the elections to the State Council of Chuvashia, where it won 35% after counting 98% of the ballots.
Earlier that day, the CEC reported that United Russia won the elections to the State Duma in the Belgorod region, gaining 51.65%. The party also won in the Penza region with 56.22% of the vote.
During the briefing, Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrei Turchak said that following the results of the last elections, United Russia received a constitutional majority in the State Duma. According to preliminary data, representatives of the political force will get 315 mandates in the lower house of parliament – 120 mandates according to lists and 195 mandates in single-mandate constituencies.
In 2021, elections to the State Duma were held for the first time in a new, three-day format. September 19 was the main voting day, and September 17 and 18 were optional.
Simultaneously with the elections to the State Duma, on a single voting day, direct elections were held for the heads of nine Russian constituent entities (in three more regions, deputies of legislative assemblies elected the highest administrative persons) and 39 regional parliaments.
